Celebrating Earth Day And Planting Hope With Over 4 Million GiftTrees

At GiftTrees, we believe in the power of people and the planet working together. This Earth Day, we celebrated the communities, partners, and supporters who are turning trees into tools for lasting change.

By having GiftTrees on the menu, diners have played a vital role in funding the planting of more than 4,596,904 GiftTrees to date. Together with Forest Focus, this collective effort is transforming land, livelihoods, and futures.

A Partnership Creating Real Impact

Through our partnership with Forest Focus, GiftTrees are helping deliver measurable change across rural Tanzania. Together, we have planted more than 480,000 trees across 20 villages, achieving an 80 per cent survival rate.

This work has supported more than 300 households by providing access to food, income, and sustainable agroforestry practices. More than 54 square kilometres of degraded farmland have been informally protected, creating safer habitats for wildlife, birds, and insects.

The partnership has also helped create more than 100 jobs, including 36 new leadership roles in rural communities.

Restoring Land And Strengthening Livelihoods

Every corner of the world holds stories of hope, growth, and resilience. With more than 4.6 million GiftTrees planted worldwide, lives are being transformed from the roots up.

Through the GiftTrees and Forest Focus partnership, land is being restored while communities gain the tools, knowledge, and support needed to grow food and earn sustainable incomes. This work creates a lifeline for families, helping them protect their land and build long-term stability.

By supporting more than 300 families through this partnership alone, GiftTrees and Forest Focus are helping communities reclaim dignity and opportunity through agroforestry.

Stories Of Change From The Ground

In Old Korogwe, Tanzania, Scholastica Anthony planted over 1,000 papaya trees with support from Forest Focus and GiftTrees. These trees are now bearing fruit, providing food, income, and renewed hope for her family.

Her story is one of many. In Mpale Village, Hamza Juma is working alongside his community to grow lasting change through the same partnership. Across villages, families are restoring their land and shaping stronger futures together.

Every GiftTree Is A Step Towards Hope

These numbers tell only part of the story. Every sapling planted represents a step towards healing the land, fighting hunger, and lifting families out of poverty.
