At GiftTrees we are on a mission to plant one billion trees and lift 1 million people out of extreme poverty*.

We do this by funding whole agroforestry systems that provide sustainable farming, ecosystem restoration and sustainable incomes for farming families and communities who are currently surviving in extreme poverty.

Why plant TREES?

GiftTrees are not just trees.

They are a powerful life force in agroforestry projects that we fund from seed to harvest. A Forest Garden is a blueprint for sustainable farming: trees for borders, shade and protection; varied species that attract biodiversity and wildlife; low leaves and plants for animals to forage on; and fruit trees producing abundant harvests of high-quality fruits, nuts, seeds and spices.

Properly farmed, well-nurtured trees absorb tons of CO2 in their lifetime, reduce the use of fertilisers and excessive water, and lift real families out of extreme poverty. For good.

The agroforestry projects that GiftTrees fund, reforest parched land, reverse soil degradation, enable quality harvesting, create jobs and provide income so real famlies can pay for clothing, education, medicine and the basics we take for granted.
