Planting hope

At GiftTrees we are on a mission to plant one billion trees and lift 1 million people out of extreme poverty*. We do this by funding whole agroforestry systems that provide sustainable farming, ecosystem restoration and sustainable incomes for farming who are currently surviving in extreme poverty. GiftTrees projects create jobs and income that provides food security, homes, clean water, education, medicine, and futures for people who need it most.

Eating At GiftTrees Restaurant

When you dine at a restaurant that is partnered with GiftTrees you will see an optional £1.23 GiftTree at the close of your bill. By funding this GiftTree, you are helping to fight extreme poverty and climate change by guaranteeing the planting of at least one GiftTree in a sustainable agroforestry system where the world, and people, need it most,

The GiftTrees impact

More than 15 million diners in hundreds of restaurants have happily contributed to the planting of more than 4.5 million GiftTrees so far.

The lives of many hundreds of farming communities have been changed for good.

Thousands of tons of CO2 have been sequestered by thriving, nurtured fruit trees living healthy lives of up to 40 years.

Tens of thousands of hectares of barren, flooded, ruined soil have been re-planted, revitalised and brought back to fertile health.

Millions of wildlife have come back to live in flourishing Forest Gardens.

Why Trees?

GiftTrees are not just trees. They are a powerful life-force that absorb tons of CO2, reduce the use of fertilisers and excessive water, and lift real families out of extreme poverty. For good.

The agroforestry projects that GiftTrees fund, reforest parched land, reverse soil degradation, enable quality harvesting, create jobs and provide income to pay for clothing, food, education and the basics we take for granted. Like a home and medicine.
