Amina began with very little. She had no resources, no tools, and limited opportunities. In her community, farming was traditionally regarded as a man’s role, leaving her with little support and few options.

As a single woman, she needed a way to support herself. What she did have was a strong passion for agroforestry and the determination to create a better life. With guidance and support from the Tuamke Group and GiftTrees, Amina began transforming barren land into a productive and sustainable farm.

All farmers need to start somewhere, but for many, the question is how to begin when starting from nothing. Through the Tuamke Group, supported by GiftTrees, small-scale farmers like Amina receive the knowledge and tools needed to turn their ambitions into reality.

Training sessions focus on practical skills such as sapling grafting, budding, and compost production. Through this learning, farmers gain the confidence and capability to grow and care for their own GiftTrees.

These trees begin producing fruit in around three years, providing food for families and creating a stable source of income that supports long-term goals.
